The most important part of becoming a successful affiliate marketer is attracting people to the pages where your ads are, and get them to buy/sign up.
In order for customers to buy/sign up from your page, your products must be what they are looking for, so make sure all of your advertising is very specific, and make sure you are giving people what they are looking for! Once you are confident that you are giving people what they want, and you have had a few purchases and have received some commissions, then you can work on advertising, such as selling yourself in forums (in a subtle way). You want people to talk about your site!! you want others to recommend your site! Once you can do that, the marketing can almost handle itself. Network yourself and your sites! Best wishes.
